QA Engineer - Manual & Automation

Role Overview: We are seeking a QA Manual & Automation Engineer with 3 to 6 years of relevant experience and proven capability across manual testing, test automation, and quality engineering practices. The candidate should have hands-on experience with Playwright, Selenium, TestNG, ACCELQ, API testing frameworks, Pytest, or similar tools, along with applied understanding of AI concepts and professional use of AI tools such as Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, or equivalent platforms. The role includes test planning, manual and automated execution, defect management, regression validation, framework enhancement, and continuous improvement of QA delivery. Key Responsibilities: Analyse business and technical requirements to define effective test scenarios and cases. Perform functional, regression, integration, system, API, and end-to-end testing. Design, develop, execute, and maintain robust automated test scripts and regression suites. Work with tools and frameworks such as Selenium, TestNG, Playwright, Pytest, ACCELQ, Postman, or similar technologies. Identify automation candidates and develop reusable, scalable automation components. Analyse automation failures, test data, environments, and application behaviour to determine root cause. Log, track, verify, and close defects using approved project defect management tools. Participate in test planning, estimation, requirement reviews, release validation, and QA reporting. Collaborate with developers, product owners, business analysts, and QA team members to ensure quality delivery. Support CI/CD-based test execution, continuous testing, documentation, and execution reporting. Contribute to improving test coverage, automation stability, execution efficiency, and QA processes. Apply AI concepts and professional AI tools such as Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar platforms to enhance QA productivity where appropriate. Take ownership of assigned QA activities and provide guidance to junior team members when required. Required Skills & Expertise: 3 to 6 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Testing. Strong hands-on experience in manual testing, automation testing, STLC, and testing methodologies. Experience in functional, regression, integration, system, API, and end-to-end testing. Hands-on experience with automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, ACCELQ, Playwright, Pytest, Robot Framework, or equivalent tools. Good understanding of automation framework design, reusable scripting, maintenance, and best practices. Hands-on experience with API testing using Postman or equivalent tools. Programming or scripting knowledge in Java, Python, Node.js, Typescript another automation language. Strong debugging, analytical, problem-solving, and defect management skills. Experience with test data, test environments, automation failure analysis, and Agile/Scrum delivery. Applied understanding of AI concepts and professional experience with AI tools such as Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, or equivalent platforms. Preferred Qualification: Experience with CI/CD tools, automated test execution pipelines, and continuous testing practices. Experience with Git or equivalent version control systems. Experience in automation framework development, optimization, reporting, or execution dashboards. Exposure to cloud-based testing, web application testing, integration testing, or basic non-functional testing. Experience mentoring or supporting junior QA engineers.
