Integration Engineer (Java/Python)

What you'll build 

→ REST APIs and integration adapters in Spring Boot or FastAPI, including validation, error handling and pagination.

→ Secure endpoints with Spring Security (JWT, role-based access) or FastAPI security dependencies.

→ Python services that communicate: async FastAPI endpoints, async httpx calls to other services, and queue consumers under a senior's guidance.

→ Message producers and consumers for RabbitMQ or SQS, with retries and dead-letter handling.

→ Tests you'd trust: unit and integration tests with JUnit 5/Mockito or pytest, using Testcontainers where it helps.

→ Containerise services with Docker and deploy through the team's Jenkins pipelines.

→ Bitbucket PR workflow: small PRs, meaningful reviews, and fixing red builds quickly.

→ Instrument what you build: structured logs shipped to ELK and trace spans in Zipkin, then debug issues in AWS lower environments using Kibana.
