QA Engineer

Experience Level: 1-2 years

Location: Bangalore (Work from Office)

Domain: BFSI / Banking / FinTech

We are looking for a QA Engineer with 1–2 years of experience in software testing, preferably within

the BFSI, Banking, FinTech, or Enterprise Applications domain.

Understand business requirements and prepare test scenarios, test cases, and test data.

Perform Functional, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, Integration, and System Testing.

Develop, execute, maintain, and enhance UI automation scripts using Playwright or Selenium.

Automate regression and repetitive functional test scenarios.

Identify suitable test cases for automation and contribute to the automation suite.

Execute automated test scripts, analyze failures, and perform necessary troubleshooting.

Perform API testing and validate application responses.

Perform database validation using SQL.

Log, track, retest, and close defects using Jira or similar tools.

Participate in defect triage and work closely with developers to resolve issues.

Support UAT/client testing and release validation activities.

Maintain automation scripts, test cases, execution reports, and QA documentation.

Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint/release testing activities.

Strong understanding of STLC, SDLC, and Defect Life Cycle.

Hands-on experience with Playwright or Selenium.

Good understanding of web UI automation concepts.

Knowledge of locators, waits, assertions, test execution, screenshots/logging, and handling

dynamic web elements

Basic API testing using Postman or equivalent.

Good working knowledge of SQL for backend/database validation.

Experience with Jira or equivalent defect-management tools.

Understanding of Git/version control.

Basic understanding of CI/CD and automated test execution is an advantage.

BFSI Knowledge

 Candidates with experience in banking, financial services, fintech, or enterprise applications are

preferred

Qualifications:

 Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
