Sr. Backend Engineer (Java/Kotlin)

Position: Senior Backend Engineer Experience Level: 7-9 years Term: Full Time, Permanent Domain: Fintech/Digital Banking Job Summary We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer with 7+ years of experience in designing and developing scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot, and Spring MVC, with hands-on experience building applications using Microservices Architecture. You will be responsible for developing secure, high-performance backend services powering digital banking and financial products. Prior experience in FinTech, Banking, Payments, Lending, or Digital Financial Services is highly preferred. Roles & Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade backend applications using Java/Kotlin. Develop secure and scalable RESTful APIs and Microservices. Build high-performance applications using Spring Boot and Spring MVC. Collaborate with Frontend, Product, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design sessions. Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability. Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code following engineering best practices. Troubleshoot production issues and ensure application stability.= Required Skills: 7+ years of experience in Backend Development. Strong proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin. Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Spring MVC. Solid experience in Microservices Architecture. Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Design Patterns, and SOLID principles. Experience developing RESTful APIs and integrating with third-party services. Good knowledge of SQL databases such as MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or Microsoft SQL Server.
